everyone! The new school year has arrived! This year, Grand
River Chinese School Student Council welcomes both returning
and new executive members to sign up. We will organize the
Chinese New Year Gala, the School Band, the Art Show, as well
as various other activities. In addition, we will work closely
with the Debate Club, the School Journal, as well as other
interest classes and clubs to plan more spectacular events.
Participating in the work of Student Council is an excellent
way to train your organizational and leadership abilities.
Join Student Council, exercise your skills, and demonstrate
the passionate culture of Grand River Chinese

Been Founded! [2010/11/17]
Hello students and teachers,
The Grand River Chinese
School Student Council has begun to work, and the current
focus is the preparation for the annual Chinese New Year Gala.
Tasks have been delegated to council members in the previous
meetings. The positions were determined by the council members
in the first meeting as follows:

The current
goal is to successfully organize the Chinese New Year Gala.
This Gala will enable students, teachers, and parents to
celebrate our culture and language heritage. Furthermore, the
Gala provides a platform for students at our school to
showcase their special talents. We’re asking for everyone’s
help and support in order to achieve these goals. If you have

Student Council Accepts Members [2010/10/17]
Dear students and Alumni of Grad River Chinese School,
Do you want to develop your leadership? Do you want to make
more good friends through involving in organizing student
activities? Do you want to get more social experience through
community services? You want to show everyone your talent and
develop it to a new level? Do you want to learn Chinese
language and culture through working with other Chinese
speaking students? "Grand River Chinese School students and
Alumni Council" ("Student Council" for short) will provide you
with a new stage! If you are a student of grade 6 or higher,
or a graduated alumnus, you may sign up to join the Student
Council! The work qualifies for the community service
volunteer hours, plus, the rich experience will surely add
scores to your future success in your life time.

add your expertise and interest. This deadline for signing up
is October 30.
