Grand River Chinese School Parent Association Fund
Calls for Donations
The Grand River Chinese
School has been a successful participant in the international
language programs offered at St. Louis Adult Learning and
Continuing Education Centres. These programs offer quality,
comprehensive, Chinese language and cultural courses to
students, JK to Grade 12.
To support the Chinese
language education and culture activities of the program, the
"Grand River Chinese School Parent Association Fund" has been
established through the "Catholic Community Foundation of Waterloo Region (CCFOWR ).
All aspects of the fund are managed by the CCFOWR. The principal
attained through donations and the gains generated through investment
are utilized to support the programs. Funds are distributed by the
Catholic Community Foundation of Waterloo Region for the intended
purpose, in consultation with the Grand River Chinese School Parent
Association and the Waterloo Catholic District School Board. Donations to the Grand River Chinese School
Parent Association Fund are tax deductible
(Canadian
Charity Registration Number: 89210 2286
RR0001).
Since
the establishment of the fund in 2009, the funds generated by donations
have been utilized to make possible smaller class sizes rather than the
standard class size determined by Ministry of Education for the
elementary Chinese language program. The fund has also partially
sponsorred Chinese New Year Celebrations.
Your donations will make a
difference to hundreds of our students. If you are willing to
contribute to the fund, you may contact the Grand River
Chinese School Parent Association to make the arrangement by
emailing to gr_chineseschool@yahoo.ca.
On behalf of the teachers,
parents and students, we thank you for your generous
contribution!
