To meet the continuously increasing demand for our high quality Chinese language program, Grand River Chinese School of St. Louis Continuing Education Centers need additional excellent teachers to join the team. INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGES PROGRAM

School Year 2015-16

IL Instructor Position – 2 Positions

Chinese Language Program at Resurrection

Dates: Sept. 12, 2015 to June 18, 2016

Times: 9:30 am to 12:00 pm

Responsibilities of the International Languages Instructor include:

               ~ Ensuring safe and secure learning environment at all times in accordance with the safety protocols.

              ~ Ensuring and maintaining proper documentation of students’ records required by the IL Program.

              ~ Following Board policy regarding Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Collection, Use & Disclosure of Student Information.

              ~ Planning and executing individual lessons with the focus on functional proficiency in real life situations.

              ~ Providing evidence of long and short term planning.

              ~ Managing discipline issues, creating and coordinating safe and enjoyable activities for all IL students.

              ~ Arriving at the school at least fifteen minutes before the class.

              ~ Attending staff meetings.

              ~ Actively using Board’s e-mail system and following e-mail etiquette guidelines.

              ~ Participating in yearly Professional Development Workshops.

              ~ Maintaining adequate progress records of all students.

              ~ Communicating with parents on a regular basis regarding class attendance, curriculum expectations and students’ progress.

              ~ Keeping up the classroom in good condition with consideration of other teachers.

              ~ Arranging for a supply instructor and providing a suitable lesson plan, required materials and resources along with the other pertaining information.

              ~ Assisting with school events.

              ~ Promoting International Languages Program in the community.
