Fill in the soft copy, and email the form to gr_chineseschool@yahoo.ca (on the registration day, Sept. 11, 2010, please sign it on the paper copy). If required to input password when dowdloading the files, click "cancel", or use right mouse key to select "save target as".
 
* CFL (Chinese as a Foreign Language)  classes are Chinese language classes designed for non-Chinese background students.
 
** A beginner level class for Chinese language credit course is available.
 
*** Extracurricular Interest Courses taught in English include
  • Olympic Math courses (5 levels for grade 3 to grade 10 students)
  • English Writing courses (3 levels for grade 5 to grade 12 students)
 
A note about fees for attending the programs:
  • Elementary Chinese language program (including "Chinese as a Foreign Language" class, JK, SK, Grades 1 through 8) does not have a tuition or registration fee, however, to cover the additional cost needed for implementing the smaller class size than the standard class size determined by Ministry of Education, Parent Association of GRCS recommended a donation of $50 per student per school year. The donation is not mandatory (families that need financial assistance can get waiver), and is tax deductible if more than $20. All the donated funds will be contributed to the GRCS Parent Association Fund managed by Waterloo Region Catholic Schools Foundation (WRCSF). WRCSF will issue official tax receipts. All students registered will be given one set of textbook for free, but if lost, need to pay the cost for additional copies.
  • Secondary credit Chinese language program including the beginner's class (for Grades 9 through 12 students and adults) does not have a tuition. A $20 counselling fee (cash only) needs to be paid to the school board. A few dollars need to be paid for textbooks.
  • 3-year-old Chinese language course and extracurricular interest courses have tuitions on per school term and per course basis (there are two school terms per school year). The amount of tuitions can be found on the corresponding registration form depending on the course(s) taken. Students of 3-year-old Chinese language course will receive one set of textbook for free, but if lost, need to pay the cost for additional copies.
 
Donations/fees/tuitions will be paid on the registration day (Sept. 11, 2010). For preregistration, you only need to send in the registration forms or pre-registration forms. If you have any questions, please email or call at gr_chineseschool@yahoo.ca , 519-208-2068.
